Our Mission in Action

Rebuilding Communities

At ReBuilding Community Organization, we believe every child, woman, and youth deserves to live free from violence, discrimination, and poverty. Founded in Dandora Phase 3, where Kenya’s largest dumpsite sits at the heart of our community, we are driven by the urgent need to transform lives through empowerment, justice and opportunity.

Here’s our mission in action!

Rebuilding Communities

  • Gender and Climate Justice

We stand against sexual and gender-based violence by working directly with survivors, raising awareness, and advocating for stronger protections. At the same time, we link environmental justice to safety, training youth at the garbage collection center on proper waste management and disposal, and engaging communities in climate-smart solutions.

  • Sustainable Livelihoods for Women and Girls

Women and girls are at the center of our peacebuilding and economic empowerment efforts. We provide training, mentorship, and opportunities that strengthen their role in community leadership, conflict resolution, and sustainable livelihoods.

  • Institutional Growth & Development

Leadership training, partnerships, and sustainability initiatives.

  • Child Protection and Education

We fight child marriages and school dropout by promoting access to quality education, safeguarding children from abuse, and conducting research to inform better policies. Every child deserves a safe environment and the chance to learn, grow, and thrive.

  • Youth Engagement and Emergency Response

We empower young people to become agents of change — from waste management initiatives at the dumpsite to digital advocacy platforms. In times of crisis, we mobilize rapid emergency response to protect vulnerable groups and ensure no one is left behind.

  • Access to Quality Health Care
